Quick answer
It starts with a design visit where we measure the opening, look at the house and talk through style and materials. We draw the gate for your approval, build it in our shop, finish it with powder coat or paint, then install and automate it. Safe Haven Gates handles every step, so the gate, posts and operator are planned together.

Gates people stop to look at
A custom gate has to look right and work right. We design the frame so it is strong enough for the operator, light enough for the hinges and rollers, and finished to stand up to Northwest rain. Then we build it, hang it and automate it ourselves.
Reliable work, a fair price and good communication.

How long does a custom gate take?
Most custom gates take a few weeks from approved design to install, depending on size, finish and the shop schedule. We give you a timeline with the quote.
Can you build a gate from my own design or photo?
Yes. Bring a sketch, a photo or an idea. We turn it into a drawing you approve before we build.
Can you add our house number, initials or a logo?
Yes. Numbers, initials, logos and scenes can be cut into steel panels or added as applied lettering.
What finish lasts best in the Northwest?
Powder coat over properly prepped or galvanized steel holds up best to rain. We recommend it for most steel gates.
Can a custom gate be automated?
Yes. We design custom gates with the operator in mind, so mounts, wiring and stops are built in.
Do you build matching fence panels and walk gates?
Yes. We can build matching walk gates, fence panels and mailbox or keypad posts so the entrance looks like one design.
Does a custom gate cost more than a standard gate?
Usually, because it is designed and built for your opening. The price depends on size, material, detail and finish, and we quote it after the design visit.
